Since ages Red has been the traditional color for Indian Brides, it is also considered auspicious color for the married woman. Even now most of the Brides prefer wearing Red on their wedding day but few of them are coming out this traditional convention and are experimenting with various different colors now. She is one of the prettiest bollywood actress and she did not wear the color red for any of her wedding ceremonies. On her wedding day she choose a Ritu Kumar beige, sea green and blue color sharara with a sea green dupatta. On her sangeet function she wore a light purple lehenga and was looking stunning. For her mehendi function she wore a mustard and purple palazzo anarkali suit. You see all there was not even a pinch of red shade in any of Dia Mirza wedding outfits; still she was looking like a stunner on her wedding day.

Soha Ali Khan

Soha Ali Khan also decided to ditch the traditional color Red on her wedding day. Soha Ali Khan wore a lovely off white Sabyasachi Lehenga with orange dupatta. Her wedding look was competed with a side jhoomar. Not many of us can think of wearing an off white lehenga on our wedding day but you can seriously take some wedding fashion inspiration from Soha Ali Khan.

Neelam Kothari

The veteran bollywood actress Neelam Kothari tied the knot with film actor Samir Soni. Her wedding outfit was quite simple, infact it was a beige wedding saree with red border. To keep the traditional factor on, she put up a red color bridal dupatta on her head.


Asin Thottumkal

Asin was yet another bollywood bride who preferred not you wear the color Red on her wedding day. She choose a lovely beige lehenga with a very broad maroon border having gold zari work. Asin was looking stunning with winged eyeliner and dark maroon lipstick.


Mira Rajput

On her wedding day Mira Rajput was dressed in an Anamika Khanna embellished pink lehenga choli.  Even for her Reception she didn’t picked up anything in the color red, instead she chooses a stunning floral embellished Manish Malhotra crop top lehenga.



Even back in 1990’s Kajol didn’t wear the red color for her wedding. Instead she picked up a green paithani silk saree as the wedding was held in a complete traditional Maharashtrian style. She also wore matching green bangles. Must say, she was looking stunning as a Maharastrian Bride.


Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai wedding with Abhishek Bachchan was quite a big affair back in the year 2007. On her big day Aishwarya Rai opted a yellow Kanjeevaram saree with kundan jewellery. Her bridal saree was designed by the most popular Indian bridal designer Neeta Lulla. Her hair were braided into a bun which was beautifully decorated with floral gajra. So, you see not even a pinch of red in Aishwarya Rai’s wedding.


Kareena Kapoor

She had a simple court marriage to which she wore a olive green churidar kammez with red dupatta. Later on she wore a ghagra choli which was of her mother in law, Sharmila Tagore. The same lehenga was restored by Ritu Kumar and was worn by Kareena Kapoor. For her Reception she pick up a lovely burgundy lehenga choli with a maroon dupatta and kundan jewellery.


Gul Panag

She did not just break the traditional rule of wearing red on the wedding day but post marriage she and her groom left the venue by riding on a bike. Quite filmy right?? She chooses an onion pink wedding lehenga designed by JJ Valaya for her wedding.
