Indian Bridal Fashion Trends 2016
Bridal Fashion in India is constantly going through various changes. The significant Red Bridal Color has now been replaced by contemporary colors like Magenta, Marsala, Pink, and Peach etc. Heavy work Bridal Lehenga is now being replaced by the Designer ones and the heavy embroideries have been replaced by light motifs work. So, basically the changes are constantly taking place and if you want to look like a Modern Bride then certainly you have to keep an eye in all these changing Indian Bridal Trends.
Inspired by the foreign outfits like Cape Gowns, this year Indian designers have tried the same innovation in the bridal trends and its already being huge hit. The duppatta basically can be draped as cape and that would also make it easy for a bride to carry her bridal lehenga and at the same time it will also make her look like a Contemporary Bride who remains very much in Fashion. So, now its time to say good bye to the traditional duppatta drapes and welcome the new CAPE trend.
Light and Pastel Shades
If we talk about the trending Bridal colors then this year light and pastel shades are in. Did you saw bollywood beauty Asin’s Wedding Lehenga? Beige in color, designed by Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, how elegant it looked!! Isn’t it? In fact this color is trending among Indian brides since quite sometime now, earlier Soha Ali Khan also had a similar color wedding outfit for her special Day.
Silk and Velvet are Back
After the mass popularity of Net fabric, its time that old age traditional fabrics like velvet and silk are gaining the popularity again. Silk Lehenga with lots of brocade and banarasi work looks awesome, Soha Ali Khan wore one at her wedding Reception. Have a look:
Floral Lehenga Choli
Designer Anushree Reddy was the first one to introduce these designs at Lakme Fashion week, back in 2013 and since then these prints have become quite popular. This one is certainly one of my personal favorite <3
Lehenga with Jackets
Jackets are really trending high in Indian fashion these days and why does a bridal outfit remain untouched with its charm? You can take a full sleeves, front cut jacket over the choli and add a twist in the tale of your wedding outfit.
I hope this blog post will be of great help for all those would to be Brides who wants to look trendiest on the Big Day.
