Air India Gives a Fashion Make Over To its Cabin Crew
One of the most happening air services of India, Air India has given a complete makeover to its cabin crew. Earlier you would have seen the female crew in traditional Indian attire saree but this time the air line has introduced a mustard saree with a designer patterned blouse, kurti with leggings and black trouser with shirt and scarves as their official uniform. Earlier the crew had a saree in combination of these three colors red, white, black. This time apart from sarees, contemporary wears like kurtis, leggings, churidar are also introduced.
The new cabin crew uniform of Air India was launched on 5th May 2015. The designers of NIFT have done a fine work in creating the uniform designs. While talking to the press, A senior officer of Air India said that the Air India uniform has been designed keeping in mind the legacy of this airline, a sun logo has been incorporated to retain the legacy.
The female cabin crew will get a variety of uniform to choose from, apart from a mustard color saree they also have the option of Indian kurti. In the uniform, the cabin crew also get to choose from the western wear option which include trouser,shirt and scarf . All the uniform has been stitched by the oldest clothing company, Siyaram. The Sun Logo is shining bright in both the Indian as well as western uniform. The saree uniform is made of 100% silk.
However currently this news has just been announced, you can see the crew in changed attires in somewhere near 25th October 2015. In the domestic flights, the cabin crew will be dressed in Indian attire like traditional sarees, kurti, leggings and churidars whereas in the international flights the dress code will be a mix of Indo western pants, shirt kurti and scarves.
Each Air India Crew member will get a set of four uniform and the dress code will remain same for both summer and winter season.
